For example, a new study found a lower lethality for the region than other sources suggest.

The coronavirus is probably not as deadly as feared: While the American Johns Hopkins University gives a mortality rate of almost two percent for Germany, the interim result of an ongoing study in the Heinsberg district of North Rhine-Westphalia suggests that the so-called lethality of Sars-CoV-2 is considerably lower. The team led by virologist Hendrik Streeck found that so far only 0.37 per cent of Covid-19 patients have died after infection with the virus.
